A further group of nine vocational school teachers (two female and seven male) from six vocational schools and one university successfully completed a nine-day training course on CNC machines (lathe and mill). This brings the total number of vocational school teachers who have been trained to 55 (47 men and eight women) from 25 participating vocational schools and one university across Kenya.

A further two or three training courses are anticipated to be scheduled for 18–27 teachers by August 2026.

Furthermore, two- or three-day extension courses on CNC machines will be offered at each participating vocational school during this period. This will ensure that the knowledge acquired by the teachers is implemented on site.

The project is financially supported by the Wilfried & Martha Ensinger Foundation in Germany and GIZ Kenya, which receives funding from Germany and Finland.
