Fourth and fifth cohorts successfully completed their training on CNC milling and turning machines in August 2025
Two additional cohorts, totalling 19 vocational school teachers (three female and 16 male) from nine vocational schools, successfully completed a ten-day training course on CNC machines (lathe and mill). This brings the total number of vocational school teachers trained to 46 (comprising forty men and six women) from 21 participating vocational schools across Kenya.
It is anticipated that a further three training courses will be scheduled for 27 vocational school teachers by mid-2026.
Furthermore, three-day extension courses on CNC machines will be offered at each of the participating vocational schools during the period. This will ensure that the knowledge acquired by the vocational school teachers is actually implemented on site.
The project is financially supported by the Wilfried & Martha Ensinger Foundation in Germany, as well as by GIZ Kenya, which receives funding from Germany and Finland.
